Making The Contents Page

For this page I decided to continue with the play on words used in the tagline on the front page by using a similar reference as the title of the contents page. The font used on this page is the same for the most part and there is a definite colour scheme being carried through from the front page, including the basic monochrome look and the maroon splash of colour. There has also been another colour added to make the contents page more exciting and giving the illusion that more is going on here. I have also incorporated 4 pictures from my photo shoot on this page and have also put a screen shot of the front page at the bottom for this same reason.

Making The Front Cover

Immediately upon putting my title text on the page I decided that although simple was the look I was going for, it looked too basic as purely one font, therefore I changed the font of the letter "G" as it is in the middle of the words and would look the most appropriate changed. Once happy with this I decided to use the same font lower down the page as to keep the simplicity and ensure the page doesn't look too busy. I chose features related to the magazine to use on the front and chose the positioning so as to not take up the most part of the page with writing. I used this particular picture on the cover as it was my favourite of those taken in the photo shoot and expresses what I would like my magazine to come across as being about. The addition of the tagline works as a sort of advertisement for the magazine, on the magazine and also relates to music and the title as a reference to a song ("Heard It Through The Grapevine").
